The gasping came back, "Mouse." Came the hero. John Kurtz, fourth semester ag ed major with long experience in zoological matters heard the frightened cries and rushed into the main office to find ?hiss Ruth Donar, secretary, on top of the telephone switchboard and Miss Betty Speck, secretary-bookkeeper, on a desk. John took in the situation at a glance, knew what he had to do, and did it -- he picked up a one-inch (by careful measurement) mouse, and mercifully dispatched it. ART SOCIETY TO SHON FRENCH FILM MAY A famous French ; film entitled "The Eternal Return" is to be presented to the students and the public twice on !lay 7 (Wednesday), it has been announced by the College Arts Society, Showing will be at 7:00 and 9;00 p.m. Reports from Wilkes College indicate that the film was very popular there at a recent showing. ADDITIONAL SELECTIVE SERVICE COLLEGE QUALIFICATION TEST MAY 22 Major General Lewis B Hershey, Director of Selective Service, has announced an. ftdditional Selective Service College Qualification Test to be held May 22 for the benefit of students prevented by illness or other emergencies from taking the test on December 13 or April 24. Students who have an admission ticket for either of the previous dates which they failed to use on the assigned date must submit a new application if they wish to take the May 22 test. Applications marked later than May 10 will not be accepted. CLUBS MUST SUBMIT UP-TO-DATE ESTIMATES OF EXPENDITURES 'FOR REMAINDER OF YEAR may. 15 will be the deadline for each club and organization to submit to the treasurer of the Student Council its anticipated expenditures for the remainder of the year.
