MAY DAY DATE SETTLED FOR SATURDAY, MAY 10 -
May Day is only a week away now, since the date has been settled for MaY - 10,
after a considerable discussion and inquiry into the possibility of conflicts
with previously scheduled parties on Saturday and church and mother's day activities
in the area. The rain date has been. set for Sunday, but hopes are high for good
weather for Saturday. -
Starting time for the coronation ceremonies on Saturday have been set back to
3:30 to accommodate spectators who may wish to'attend a tea sponsored by the
Hazleton A.A.UX. for senior high school, girls
ANNOUNCE COEDS IN amaiocK CHAIN AND AIDS-IN-WAITING
Eleven girls have been going through thorough rehearsals for their part in the
May Day ceremonies -- the forming of the hemlock chain and the dance of the bell.
And Mary Ellen Anthony and Candida Ramaviglia are to be maids-in-waiting to
Queen Josephine Donish.
Coeds in the hemlock chain are Kathryn Suitch, Joan Griesing, Arlene Krieger,
Isabel Nhite, BliSe Kreiger, Jacqueline Garis, Marie Jacko, Ilary Foulkrod,
Florence Pusti, Mary Sue Hasara, and Pearl Paternoster.
The dancers are being trained by Savario Saullo, hoalth and gymnastics teacher.

at:ffighacres, because their papas are all pretty well known people around here. The
dainty misses are Patricia Coyne, Dorothy Krecker, Maureen Coyne, Kay Campbell,
and Deborah lard,,
WOMEN INVITE THE MEN FOR MAY DAY
The age-old tradition of ?Rey Day that the college 'women invite the men of their
choice will be carried out this year. But following another practical tradition,
the men who are not invited can take the bull by the horns or the woman by her
hair and work out their own invitations.
GOOD OPENING FOR AMITIOUS YOUNG MEN AND IMEN
Since the crowning of our May Queen and the Queen's. Bali will both be held on.
Saturday May 10, there is need for ambitious or at least loyal fellows and girls
to assist with the many elaborate decorations in the garden setting of the Coronation
and at the Valley Country Club, where the ball will be held.
Volunteers are need for Uturday morning. There volunteers will be split in
half (our reporter did .*t describe this messy scene) and some will be assigned to

fice the Coronation Ball, 'Saturday - evening, May 10, is sponsored by the
Highacres Student Council with funds the activities fees that all students
pay every-Semester, all student's have already "purchased their admission tickets' ,
and are,onlvlosing their own money if they do not attend the big ball, The dance is
open to all College students and "their dates'.
