April 30 has been designated by Student Council as "Clean-Up Day", the traditional
day at Highacres when students and faculty all turn out to .do a spring freshening-
Up process on the campus in preparation for 710 Day. — This was announced by Council
Pi'esident Henry Giuliani, On "Clean-UP,rmy" classes will be suspended at 12:20 p.m.
The afternocin will be taken for dividing into crews with specific jobs on the campus.

42 MEN JOIN FIRE FIGHTERS

Forty-two Highacres men turned out for the Fire Prevention meeting last week. pit the
meeting Robert E. Akers, fourth semester zoology and entomology major, was named .
leader of the fire prevention organization. Named as assistants were Raymond Schults 4
second semester education major,' and Joseph C. Smith, , fourth semester Commerce and
finance major. At a meeting yesterday with Andrew McLovich of the fire department
in charge, the groups was divided into squadrons. Student crews may be called on
in fire emergencles throughout the state.
LANGUAGE CLUB DONATES 116 TOWARD FRENCH MOVIE
Lt its meeting Thursday the Language Club donated 116.00.t0 the College Arts Society
toward the rental of a French made movie which is being scheduled for showing soon.
The club also elected officers at yesterday's meeting,, Results released to the
COLLEGIAN are President Joseph C. Smith, fourth semester commerce and finance
student; vice president -- Donald G. Fisher, fifth semester arts and letters
student, Secretary-treasurer Ruth E. Feingold, second semester arts and letters
major; publicist -- Marie E. Jacko, second semester commerce ancifinance major;'and
sergeant-at-arms -- Vincent CorradO, third semester commerce and finance major.
The decision was made by the club that an annual dues of $l.OO will be necessary
for club maintenance.
