Vol. XIV No. 6 , 1 r, I,SI TJIII COUNCIL ANNOUNCES MANGEMENTS FOR MAJOR SOCIAL FUNCTIONS Student council has announced some of the arrangements for the three major social functions of the spring season. Leading off will be the R. O. T. C. Ball, April 19. This annual military ball, will be staged in the Valley Country Club at •Coriyngham. Frankie Reynolds and His Orchestra will furnish the music. Prices for tickets to the big affair have not been announced. For the Coronation Ball (semi-formal) Scotty Parsons has been secured. This ball on May Day,May lb, in honor of the Queen of Highacres May Day celebration s will also be held at the Valley Country Club, right at the foot of the mountain below the College. Genettits Rose Room will be the scene of the Convocation Dinner-Dance, which has been set for June 7. WANTED: EDITORS FOR NEW COLLEGIAN PICTURE REVIEWvPHOTOGRAPWAS AT WORK For the new COLLEGIAN publishing venture, the picture review of 1951-52, the Student Council is accepting applications for editors. All editorial positions are open as this edition gOes to press: editor-in-chief, picture editor, copy editor, club editor, lay-out editor, and reporters and typists. Applications will be accept ed by Council President Henry A. Giuliani, treasurer Frank Nowak, and by staff adviser W. R. Grubbs. Already photographers are at work taking, developing, and printing the pictures Wit' will go into the new publication, which will be issued at the end of the spring term according to present plans. Rodger A. Krause and Mr. Gilbert H. Ward have been doing the photographic end of the preparations, and they still have many more pictureatolo. The new publication will present in compact form a picture review of all clubs, activities,, sports, and special events such as May Day. It will be published through the sponsorship of the Student Council and will be presented to all students, according to the financial planning of the Council, as one of the services paid for by the student activities fee. CAFETERIA SCHEDULE REVISED The college cafeteria is working now on a slightly revised schedule from the one announced in the NEWSLETTER March 7. The new schedule has the cafeteria open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 and from 11:30 to 3.:00, ..-----"--- CENTER BASKETBALL TEAM, AND FRIENDS, HAVE PARTY Members of the Center basketball team and their friends had a gay time last night at a party financed by themselves at Yanuzzi's. They had obtained their backlog of cash through the courtesy of the Lions Club as a gestUre of appreciation for cooperation in the Dream Game, March 10.
