The election was supervised by Theta Sigma Pi and its adviser, Miss Florence Vannes. Queen Josephine will reign flay 10. In the afternoon in the garden at Highacres the coronation proper will be held with due ceremony. In the evening, the annual Coronation Ball will be held. PRESIDENT GIULIANI APPOINTS CONVOCATION COMMITTEES To look after : all the affairs connected with the Convocation-Dinner-Dance now sOkeduled for June 7, Student Council president Henry A. Giuliani has appointed two committees. The committee on awards is headed by assistant administrative head Frank C. Kostos, who will attend particularly to the making of academic awards and to the college Honors Society, which is now in the process of planning. Also on the awards committee are J. Richard Tlattern, Student Council adviser, who will look after student activity awards with the assistance of co-chairman Loretta Romanofsky. Let ters to students notifying them of awards will be the responsibility of Gabriel Lensack. The general committee on arrangements is headed by chairman Paul Williams, who will also be responsible for contracts with the orchestra for the affair. Administrative head Norio E. Campbell is in charge of procuring a speaker. Programs and the program itself are the joint responsibility of Miss Pearl Garbrick and Paul Williams. President Giuliani is seeing to the direct preparations for the dinner and for the seclection of a hail. Giuliani has announced that after considerable deliberation over spring social plans ) the council has decided to concentrate its social budget upon making May Day and the Convocation-Dinner-Dance as elaborate as possible. This will bring about the necessity of using funds originally earmarked for Friday night parties. Council has therefore cancelled two Friday night affairs.
