OVER 4000 SEE PENN STAM CENTER IN FINAL GM
Determined to win the final game of the season before a ”Dream Game , ' crowd of over
4000, the Ruesters put on a gallant rally that fell just short of tying the score
against the fancy passerS of Indiantown Gap Military Reservation. When the Gap five
tried to turn the game into a farce, State took advantage of the histrionics to steal
the ball several times and do some fancywork of its awn. Because of the wide margin
the Gap had gained in the third quarter State was not quite able to close the gap,
although outscoring the soldiers in field goals 29 to 27. Seeing action for the
Center for the last tame were Gabe Lensack, Frank Sande, and Nike Ostroff.
Final score was Indiantown Gap 27 field goals, 11 of 18 fouls, total 65
Hazleton State 29 field goals, 3 of 10 fouls, total 61
NOUN HAS TICIMTS FOR TOWN HALL =INC: OF THE AIR AT TIMES
A nationwide broadcast of the Town Hall :looting of the Air is being put on at Wilkes
College in Valkes-Barre, Tuesday, T"arch 18 at 800 p.m, Frank Nowak has tickets for
the broadcast and can supply further information about it. The discussion will be
on the very current topic ”Should Germany Live as a Democracy?” The panel for the
broadcast is made up of prominent men in education and political life.
.KEEP CAFETERIA CLEAN
Come on -- let's keep the cafeteria looking clean and presentable. Don't you feel
guilty — when a visitor walks in and the cafeteria is unpresentable? Perhaps there
are just a few Students who are responsible for this. Let's get the ball rolling and
get after these shysters who refuse to acquire habits of cleaning up after themselves.
MUMY CLUB IS PLANNING DANCE FOR MARCH 21
I,,gala program is being planned for the Mummy Club sponsored dance March 21, next
Friday, at 8:30. The evening's entertainment is being planned by Paul 711liams and
Garth Fisher. They say that it will exceed all expectations. The main attraction
will be a burlesque of "Antony and Cleopatra" with a Broadway cast. There will also
be the fameus Golden Gate Quartet, a well known singer from the Valley, and other
feature acts, The club has arranged to have a "combo" and will serve a buffet
supper, Tentative plans are to have the affair in the Candlelight Room at "Our House",
but this has not been finally confirmed at press time. There will be no charge for
the party --- a wonderful evening of dancing, singing, and laughter, for all students.
