Friday, June 1, 1951 Pictorial Review of Semester's Social Activities Here at Center The Womens' organization held a Blue Jeans Ball at St. John's em porium on March 30. Official Attire: blue jeans and shirts. Ed. McGee appeared in a sport shirt and neatly pressed trousers, and begged mercy from the co-eds as he suffered the consenuences. Strange things do happen even at Highacres. The faculty served as hosts for the student body at the faculty dinner. It is rumored that Mr. Ciletti, Miss Yannes, Mr. Steele, and Mr. Longo even received tips. Is it true, profs.? Picks and axes were flying, trees were chopped down, and debris (dead leaves, namely) was removed when the faculty and students housecleaned the campus HAZLETON COLLEGIAN "Congratulations, Joe, and Best Wishes, Mary Jane." The students celebrated the engagement of classmate Joe McHale to Mary Jane Polumbo at a party at Tony Sacco's Mt. Laurel Restaurant. Frankie Nowak and the "little one" have reason to remember this social function. May 4 was a big day for the co-eds at Highacres. Jane Margwarth was crowned May Queen.
