SPORTSTUFF The basketball schedule for the 1947-1948 season for the Hucksters has been released and it has the earmarks of being a pretty heavy one for the locals—Two games with National Farm School which were pending were taken off the schedule. A week from Wednesday night the, cage season will open with an exhibi tion tilt against the HUC Alumni, a team consisting of ex-HUC courtmen —Among those taking the floor that night will be "D-DAY" BARNES, JOHNNY APICHELLA, JOE MA DAY, and BUSHY DURBACK It will seem like old times to see the boys back in action at the A. D. Thomas Gym It wouldn't surprise us if JOIE APICHELLA were called upon to guard brother JOHN. According to reports DON BARNES is playing intra-mural football at State College—lf there is a touch of sadist in you, you may enjoy an af ternoon packed full of mayhem by taking in one of the local sandlot football games. We wonder whether MacMILLAN has found a buyer for that Jamaica sport jacket To those who have seen another similar sport coat about the school, MacMillan 'states that his coat is entirely different from F. X. FATSIE'S. Fatsie's jacket is on the Southwest Pacific camouflage order. Well, we have to sign off at this point. See you at the Alumni tilt. Rudmanites To Face Alumni November 26 At 8 o'clock Wednesday night, November 26, the charges of Syd Rudman will officially open their cage season with an exhibition game against the HUC Alumni, a team composed of Johnny Apichella, Don Barnes, Al Durbach, Joe Maday and several other former local students. Shuptar stands at an even six feet, is a - bulwark on defense and is an excellent team-worker. He is counted on to hold opposing forwards of a minimum of scoring.
