Although HUC trailed at the end of the first quarter, 17-15, scintillat ing shots by Riley, Hazleton’s “dead eye,” put the locals in front as the half ended, 28-23. The third period saw beautiful shots by Riley for the homesters and by Swartwood, Pino la, and Black of the visitors. Third stanza wound up with Bucknell trail ing, 47-35. Although outscoring the HUC, 13 to 6 in the last canto, the charges of Coach Rudman came out on the long end of the score to win, 53-48. Using HUC’S Annual Christmas Semi- For mal as a lead, Miss Celeste Fellin has fixed a display in the store window. To her belongs the entire credit for the idea and the display. Celeste has shown an absorbing interest in HUC, which we hope is contagious. We wish to thank Mr. Fellin, the owner, whose generous cooperation has made the display materialize. The display has been shown during the past week in the main window. Miss Fellin will continue these displays in the future. COUNCIL OFFICERS BACK FROM POTTSVILLE The four officers of the Student Council, A 1 Keller, president; Fran cis Fatsie, vice-president; Peg Den ion, secretary; and John Ward, treas urer, have returned from the Student Government Conference at Potts ville. This conference is held each year by the four active Pennsylvania State College Centers. Besides Haz leton, Pottsville, Altoona, and Dubois were represented. Francis Fatsie was one of the speakers on the planned program. Pie was in charge of the athletic program. To supplement the business pro gram, Pottsville Center had planned entertainment activities consisting of a banquet, dance, movies, and an open house at the Schuylkill school. In the extra period York scored six teen points to HUC’s three. York’s reserve power was the main factor in turning the tide to victory. Once again, Riley stole the honors for the evening. Leading with 21 tallies. Johnny was followed by Ri ordan and Apichella who had thir teen points apiece. Lentz was high man for the York club, gathering 8 field goals and 4 fouls for 20 points.
