Movie Review by Todd Niziol Co-Editor This Christinas season Americans were treated to a series of excellent movies. One of the best was Tango and Cash. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell as L.A.'s two best cops, Tango and Cash is a roller coaster of thrills. Stallone shows rare form in his role as a well dressed and sophisticated officer. Not only does he look respectable, but he shocks the audience with his wit and charm. Kurt Russell plays the rough and tumble city officer who breaks all the rules, but always gets results. The movie revolves around a drug dealer's revenge on the two police officers who are ruining his business. Found guilty of false charges, Tango and Cash are sent to a prison where they battle criminals and corrupt guards. After escaping, Tango and Cash go about finding the drug lord and end the movie in a finale of guns, knives, fights, explosions, blood, etc. The typical "Rambo” style ending. The movie was both exciting and humorous. Stallone and Russell work well together and some scenes are incredibly funny. The action and pace never slow down, making it a surprise hit. My only complaint is that the drug dealer was poorly protrayed. This criminal genius sits through the whole movie playing with his pet rats. Other than that, it was one of the winter season’s better movies.
