ROTC, in case you
never knew, stands for
Reserve
Training Corps, and it
has three branches,
Army, Navy, and Air
Force. Here at Hazleton
there is Army ROTC.
They are the guys and
gals who are dressed in
Army fatigues every

ROTC is a

What is
ROTC?
by Bethann Longenecker
the uniform is worn, and
drills are instructed,
and during the class
period students learn
Army tactics and rules.

Ninety students are
enrolled in ROTC this
semester, but only 20
are girls. More girls
are enconraged to join
because it is a good
opportunity to learn
leadership skills that
will help later in life
in the job market.
The Company
Commander of the ROTC-H

Orrico is the highest
