Shortly after my return to Russia, I filed an application for the adoption of Jacob. In that short span of . time, I grew to love him like a son. Approxiamtely 5 months after my return home, Jacob was legally my son. Yet I was still not satisfied with my life. I knew that Russia had not been suitable for my family and I through the years and I ralized that it would not be suitable for Jacob. Thus, I applied for visas for myself and my family to depart Russia in order for us to have a successful, healthy, and happy life in the United States.
