CAMPUS COMMENTARY
Dr. Shaevel was an ex
cellent professor. His
teaching was very
thorough, and he was also
very caring and un
derstanding. He would
always go out of his way to
help his students. I will
remember him always as
a man who was a major
help in my college career.
During my class with
him, I knew he was a good
prof. After the term was
over, I realized that he
was an even better person.
Whenever I had any
problems, he was always
there to help.

Professor Shaevel was a
very fine teacher as well
as a good friend. He was
very concerned about all
his students, and an en
couragement to all of
them. He was very respec
ted for all he did for the
campus and for his studen
ts...and that was a lot.

Students Remember Shaevel
Professor Shaevel was a
fine teacher and a con
cerned individual. I have
much respect for a man
who devotes his life to
helping others learn about
the world around them.
Penn State lost more than
a teacher; Shaevel was a
humanitarian.
Professor Shaevel was
a good man who would go
out of his way to help
anyone. I know from
personal experience
because he helped me a
great deal. Penn State
has lost a great teacher
and I have lost a good
friend.
