Page 4 The Highacres Collegian SGA . Dear Students, Faculty, and Administration, As this school year comes to a close, I hope that the SGA finds everyone doing well and preparing for final exams. May 11 is the ninth annual Awards Banquet which is SGA sponsored. Tickets cost $6.75 which pays for the meal. The band “Autum” will play at 8:00. Awards will be presented to students based on Scholastic, Academic and Athletic achievement. Alfin all, it will be a good time for everyone. Tickets can be purchased from any .SGA member. SGA elections for president and vice president were held this term. Next year's president will be Lisa Ragazzi and vice president will be Wally Dias. Congratulations to Lisa and Wally, and from this year’s SGA. We wish you the best of luck for next year. Elections for next year’s Sophomore Senators were also held. They are: Jeanne Beam, Don Green, Scott Ferreica, Sandy McCoy, Cindi Fagan, John Balas and Joanne Kulp. Con gratulations to all of you. Work closely with Lisa and Wally, they will need your help. As this letter comes to a finish, I would like to thank all the people that 1 have worked with and have worked for the council. Goes all my sincerest thanks for the help that you have given me throughout the year to the faculty members, I would like to thank you for allowing me to be a part of the SGA and a special thanks goes to the faculty members with whom I worked with on the Search Committee. It was a tremendous experience for me. Finally, to the Administration, especially Dean McCallus and Ev Binns the help that you two gave me throughout this year was priceless. I appreciated all of it. Tom Reed President Alpha Phi Omega has been active providing services to the community. This year we had two major service projects, one was the Halloween collection for UNICEF which encompassed the West Hazleton and Conyngham area. The Halloween collection was a large success, raising approximately $l5O which was above our goal. The second major service project we had was the March of Dimes Walk-A-Thon which Was held on April 29th, I atn proudto boast that oty: .organization, Alpha Phi Omega wis *tbe rafty chitPbh cahifms that 100 percent of our members participated in as workers to run the walk, which is expected to raise $7,000 for the March Sincerely. Marc A. Rovita Even though our Frat is a service organization, this year we did mix in a little socializing. The beginning of the year was interesting with a trip to Bloomsburg to the fair, where many students were enthused with the exhibits available. Our Frat started out this year with approximately two brothers and will end up with nine brothers the brothers are: Keller Taylor, Jou Zuk, John Shedleski, Kevin Phillips, Rob Tacker, Jeff Carson, Steve Kadar and Larry Mancipi.
