Four Penn State football
players have been named first
team All-America.
Nittany Lion defensive tackle
Bruce Clark has been picked on
the first team by the Football
Writers Association of America
(FWAAK the Football News and
the American Football Coaches
Association (AFCA).
Quarterback Chuck Fusina and
offensive tackle Keith Dorney
also were selected by the FWAA
and the AFCA. Record-setting
placekicker Matt Bahr joined
Clark on the Football News
team.
Fusina, who holds 17 Penn
State passing and total offensive
records, was runnerup to
Oklahoma’s Billy Sims in the
balloting for the Heisman
Trophy, despite receiving more
first place votes than Sims.
