Tall, dark, and not-so
handsome would be one way to
describe what was seen by
several Highacres students on
the evening of April 13 near
the campus tennis courts.
"We were coming from the
fireline, past the gym and
noticed this really foul
smell. About half-way down the
service road we heard alot
of noise behind us, like some
thing was running through the
woods. When we turned around,
it was just sorta' there
standing by the gate across
the road," recalled one of
the students.
"I would say it was
about eight or nine feet tall
and really black," said
another witness. After a couple
of seconds it ran •'nto the

woods to the left of the gate,
taking huge strides. We didn't
bother chasing it because we
weren't exactly sure what it
was," the student added.
"There isn't really any
way to be sure what.we saw
was a bigfoot, but I know
it was no shadow," another
witness commented.
A bigfoot has been
described as half man and
half ape by many winesses in
North America. The adult crea
tures supposedly ranges in size
from nin to twelve feet and is
completely covered with thick,
black hair. These elusive crea
tures have reportedly been sight
ed in nearly every state of the
nation at one time or another.

students at Highacres as part
of a University-wide survey.
The two most important
goals for men were becoming an
authority in their field and
being well-off financially.
However, these goals were rank
ed fifth and seventh, respect
ively, by women. The first
choice of women, helping others
in difficulty, ranked fifth
among men.
A large percentage of men
and women felt it important to
raise a family and develop a
philosophy of life. Women plac
ed a ’philosophy third and family
fourth, whereas men's responses
were reversed, placing family
•third and philosophy fourth.
Both men and women placed ob
taining recognition from their
colleagues in fifth position.
