sent time the library is under
staffed. There are not ehough
workrstudy students tocover all
the library hours. Currently
there are students paid $2.30
per hour to check all outgoing
patrons, which is money that
Ferry feels could be better spent
toward the purchase of the Check
point System. "If students could
be working at the circulation
desk," said Ferry, "librarians
could truly be working eith the
students."
"With the stealing and its
costs, it is impossible to stay
up with the current books ans
periodicals." According to Ferry
"students stealing books are only
hurting themselves."
"I am hoping someone will
have pangs of conscience."
