Agora Club How about an educational experience in which YOU, the students, choose the subject mattery there are no exams or assignments! you have comfor table chairs to sit in, you can i talk or listen as much as you like, and you get free dough nuts, coffee and coke? Sound too good to be true? Well, folks, it's right here at High acres. It's called the Agora Club and it's open to anyone on or off campus. Organized in January, Agora has met five times and will be back next term. Topics dealt with were Democracy, Amnesty for Vietnam War Resistors, Marijuana, A bortion and Euthanasia, and Parapsychology. A hard core of six or seven students braved even the worst fog and midterm exam schedule to attend most of the meetings, while a high of twenty-five showed up for Marijuana. During discussions of top ics which divide along conser vative point of view was conspicuous by its absence. This has led to the suspicion that, here, at least, "conser vative” equals "know-nOthing.? We hope that students who i dentify more with Gerald Ford than George McGovern will come to Agora next term and support their convictions.
