The Jaycee Buddy Program
is based primarily on the con
cept that young people need
the stabilizing 'and helpful
influence of a mature and re
sponsible adult, They need
the guidance as well as the
friendship of an interested
and mature person who can set
a good- example, by which the
child can follow. The value
of the Jaycee Buddy Program
lies in the personal relation
ship between the, adult and the
child with the understanding
on the part of the child that
someone is interested in him
as an individual, hence the
One-Man/One-Boy formula.
The primary pilrpose of the
Jaycee Buddy is to provde a
One-Man/One-Boy, One-Woman/One-
Girl relationship under the
direction of a rrofessional
staff, consisting of tile
