INTERCOLLEGIATE BOWLING
The intercollegiate bowling
team is being formed this term.
Anyone who wants to try out for
the team should contact Torn
Caccese or Dean McCallus before
November 14. Last years team
won the Winter Regional Tourna
ment and participated in the
State Invitational. Tournament
held at University Park where
they finished seventh.
INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL
Intramural basketball is in the
limelight this term at Highacres.
Eight teams submitted rosters
to Mr. George Bobby at the be
ginning of the term. Five weeks
have passed and it looks like the
Avengers are playing real serious
ball. Their disciplined defense has
allowed the opposition to score an
average of only 23.8 points per
game. The standings and the
scores of all the games to date
are as follows:

Whose Campus?
(Oant'd From Page One)
you know , where the capital com
es from to finance your various
clubs and organizations, or how
this money is appropriated? Who
is responsible for providing social
activities and facilities of the
Hazleton Campus? Who may use
them? For what purposes? What
action is your student government
taking on the question of Senate
Rule W-20?
If you are not informed on any
of these issues, you are not meet
ing your responsibility as a stud ,
ant. I am not implying that the
break-down between students and
SIGA is entirely your fault, but
you must accept some of the
fault. I realize that Student Gov
ernment is at fault in some res
pects the main one being that
we have failed to reach out to
you and incorporate you into our
being.

I accepted , this shortcoming
when I decided to address you,
and I am determined to remedy
this if at all possible.
Again, I call for your help. I
need your concern and support. I
need you so that I can be the kind
of president you want to head
your government. SGA needs, you
to build the government; you
need us to build the Hazleton
Campus. I invite you to attend
SGA meetings, to present griev
ances to us, and to make us a
ware of what you as students
need.
Through this letter X have
brought our needs to your atten
tion, and I leave the matter in
your hands. I am planning a gen
eral rally for the entire student
body. I hope you will attend and
display your support for your
Student Government Association.
Respectfully yours,
Barbara M. Sipler

COMERIETY
What',s Comeriety? Let's start
by saying it's a show designed
with you in mind. It has comedy,
music and satire too. It was
started by interested faculty
members to raise funds for stu- -
dent awards, It's an evening's
entertainment that you won't for
get.
Although Comeriety is a lot of
fun, it requires a lot of hard work
not only from the faculty but
also from the students. It's up
to you, the student body, to make
Comeriety a success. It will be
held winter term. Anyme inter
ested in working on Comeeety,
please contact Mr. Shavel as
soon as possible.
