SUCCESS I The first Highacres' Expansion Fund Drive reported a total «f $213,0ti, Before the final "M«p-up" Campaign is over, $215,*0* is expected. This is, of course, well over the $200,000 goal. Over lv million dollars will be available when government funds are supplied. With this money Highacres plans a combined laboratory °lassroom facility. We, the students of Highacres, should be very glad’to have "been’able' to share in financing such a Project and very proud tha t the community has so much faith in higher education. The placement department of the American Student Infor mation Service announces that an interesting selection of summer jobs in Europe, number ing more than It, #oo, is still available’ to I college, students who apply now. Most jobs do not require previous experi ence or foreign language abil ity. Wages range to four hun dred dollars a month and room and board is often included. Available positions include lifeguarding and other resort work, child care, office work, factory work, saleswork, farm work, shipboard work, hospital work, construction work, and camp counseling. Although ap plications are accepted through out the school year, jobs are given on a first come first served basis. This year the ASIS is granting a $250 travel grant to all applicants. Job and travel grant applica tions and detailed descriptions (location, wages, working hours etc.) including many photo graphs of American college students on jobs in Europe are available in a 36 page booklet which students may obtain by writing directly to Dept. ¥lll American Student Information Service (ASIS), 22, Avenue De La Liberte, Luxembourg City, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and sending $2 with their request to cover the cost of the illu strated booklet, handling and •verseas air mail postage.
