PARNASSUS HOLDS FIRST MEETING The Parnassus Chapter of the Key stone Honor Society held its first ...• . meeting of the fall term on Thursday,, October 14* Josepf Zola, president, was in charge of the sessioh. The pur pose of Parnassus is to recognize those students who have shown outstand ing academic and who have actively participated in extracurric ular actvities. The requirements for membership are these: 1. Second term or higher standing. 2. No less than 2.5 all univer sity average. 3. An active member in at least two activities (sports and intramurals count as one); or an active member in one activity and helped in a major service or function. The Parnassus Honor Society has been a service organization on the Hazleton Campus since 1953. SORORITY COLLECTS FOR U.N.I.C.E.F. On October 29, members of the Theta Sigma Pi Service Sorority collected for the United Nations International Children's Educational Fund | U.N.1.C.E.F.). The sorori ty wishes to thank all those students who generously gave to this worthy cause. The money will be greatly appreciated by some underprivileged child. NEW BLOOD IN THE SPORTS DEPT.
