Page Two Announcement Made Of New Regulations New regulations are presently being enacted concerning attend ance at all social activities at Highacres. The new restrictions were orientated because of an over-abundance of non- Penn Staters at our social events. First enacted at the Sno&ball Dance, February 1, 1963, these limitations will continue to be in effect at all activities. Attendance at Penn State affairs is restricted to the following: Penn State students, dates of Penn State students, student nurses, and students from other colleges upon presentation of a matricula tion card or other form of identifi cation. Rumors have cited complaints against the new rules; however, one must realize that they are en acted to provide for more enjoy able affairs at Highacres. As Spring slowly approaches and the dreary weather of Winter subsides, life on campus gradually springs forth. We, the editors, wish to thank the janitors, Messers Burgess Faux, Harold Michael, Austin Clark, Ray Martin, and John Coyne, who have been so delli gent in keeping Highaccres the beautiful campus that it is. While the snow was coming down in droves, our wonderful janitors were out shoveling, sweeping, and spreading cinders so that we might attend classes with as little danger from the snow and ice as possible. This took much effort on their parts, and we think they should be congratulated. Congratulations also go out to our splendid basket ball team and their coach, Mr. Robert Epler, for a winning season. They braved both snow and sleet to attend the out-of-town games. With only finals lying ahead, we bid farewell to our fellow students and members of the faculty. We look forward to seeing everyone again March 28. Hazleton March 15, 1963 STUDENT POLL: What is your opinion on the exclusion of England from the Common Mar ket? Ann Marie Semancik 2nd term, Secondary Education: “It is important for the eco nomic growth of England that it be included in the Common Mar ket. The veto of England from the Common Market will undermine the effect that the market would have had in making Europe united.” John Cerasaro 2nd term, Counseling: “I think that the decision by DeGaulle in blocking the admis sion of England to the Common Market was an irresponsible act which may have not only severed relations between France and England, but may have also hin dered any progress toward a com pletely and truly unified western Europe.” June Fiel sth term, Journalism: “I think the Common Market is important to European unity. I feel that the exclusion of England is a grave mistake. It just goes to show you can never trust a Frenchman.” Larry Wydock 2nd term, Business Administration “One important outgrowth of the Common Market would or could have been European unity. The veto, however, has definitely undermined the purpose of the Market. The action of DeGaulle was certainly one of selfishness.” F E L LIN'S DIAMONDS CHINA WATCHES CRYSTAL JEWELRY GIFTWARE 14 E Broad St. Hazleton, Pa.
