Robert Krutsick Janes Marcolina Volume 26, Number 2 Friday, October 21, 1960 A SALUTE TO OUR JANITORS Fall is that time of the year when our landscape exhibits its natural maize of coloring, inspiring the student to seek advancement among this display of Nature's wondrous capabilities, Indeed, we are fortunate to have our campus set apart from the carefree world. This gives us an opportunity to pursue an education amidst the glorifications of Nature » However, Nature is aided tremendous* ly by the constant pursuit of duty practiced by the janitorial staff at Highacres. Have you noticed how clean our surroundings are kept? Have you taken note of the weTJ-uruitivated lawns? Nature provides the means to develop them, but the janitors care for them. Not only is our campus kept superficially clean, but it is easy to note the clean liness which pervades throughout the business end of our college, the classrooms, The Collegian takes this opportunity to congratulate the janitorial staff for the fine work they are doing. Certainly, it is their job; but the way in which it is done, is what deserves attention. It is easy to see that the janitors take pride in their jobs. Actually, they are helping to con tribute to one’s education by making the study atmosphere more encouraging,! These unsung heroes go unnoticed at most times, but it is gratifying to know that our campus will match with any other in well-groomed appearance. This is mainly due to the undying devotion of a grand janitorial staff: Mr. Burgess Fox, Mr. Harold Michael, Mr. Austin Clarke, Mr. John Ooyue, and Mr, Raymond Martin.
