We Welcome Our Sophomori
At this date we are no longer start
ing the fall semester. We are well under 1
way and in that period when sophmores are
in the midst of better things after the
summer monotony. Even our new freshmen
are becoming old freshmen, learning what
is expected of them and learning where
they are going.
If not, it may be well to take inven
tory now, with special emphasis on thos®
services which permit students to help
themselves. For example, strict atten
tion to classroom procedures, hints from
faculty advisors, review of counseling
test results, and further discussion of
long-range curriculum plans.
Most students attending the Hazleton
Campus do well in their studies. We are
proud of that. But possibly that is
expected, because they did well during
their previous schooling. We hope the
good performance continues, both for the
baccalaureate degree students taking the
formative years at the Hazleton Campus
before transferring to University Park,
and for the associate degree students
will be spending a lesser and consequently
important amount of time in the classroom
and laboratory before assuming technolog
ical responsibilities in industry. We
