Cadet Major David Saul and Cadet
Ist Lt. Floyd Blackmon Jr. discussed
attitude, courtesy, the propor method?
of reporting to an officer; and the
proper wearing of the uniform with thk
squadron.
They also told of the method 'sob
by the ROTC at the carpus to train
reserve officers. The pair held a
mock inspection of the squadron after
their lectures.

PINK AND BLACK WERE ORIGINAL PSU COLORS

Back in 1887 the classes of The Penn-7.
sylvania State Universitk had chosen pink
and black as the official class colors - ,
The following year a rash of pink and black
blazers appeared on campus,
According to the reminiscences of
George R. Meek of the class of 1890 the sun
soon turned the pink to white and took
the jetness out of the black. The official
colors were shortly changed to blue and
white.
So you see if the blazers of the 188 VS
had been made of color-fast dyes, you might
be singing.the praises of the pink and black
instead of the familiar blue and white.
