ATTEND THE
BASKETBALL
GAMES
Tommy Clatch
The band now has only 35 arrangements,
but 15 more are expected from our
student government soon.
A really amazing note is that this
group hold only four rehearsals,
lasting from 3 to 4 hours apiece.
Their excellent playing must be
attributed to the real enthusiasm that
sparks the organization.
From the comments heard at the dance,
we believe that the combo that played
during the breaks was even better
liked than the band itself.
Te are confidant that the band will
sound better and better as time rolls
on. Lets all give it as much support as
possible.

SUB COMING ALONG
As you probably have noticed, our SUB
is slowly filling with furnishings
and becoming more livable. The West
Hazleton Lions Club donated UOOO,OO
toward the purchase of furniture for
the Ist floor lounge. This, of course,
is not enough cash to cover the
complete cost of furnishings, but
money fr.& University sources has been
added and the furniture is on the way.
The Hi—Fidelity in the corner music room
was an anonymous gift. A record library
is is planned, but before it is begun,
students may bring their own records
in to listen to them between classes.
Draperies for all the windows in the
finished rooms of the building have
been ordered.
A large set of dishes has been donated
by Mrs. Buckley, one of our neighbors
Recreational equipement has been ordered
for the unfinished Ist floor room.
