While awards are given to a few,
we are all aware that the loyal,
co-operative student spirit at High
acres is achieved by many "un

Convocation Program An
nounced: The Convocation Dinner-
Dance of the Pennsylvania State
University, Hazleton Campus, will
be held on June 4, 1958 at 6:30
promptly, at Genetti's Pennsylva
nia Room, Hazleton. Guest speaker
for the affair will be Dr. Merritt
Williamson, Dean of the College of
Engineering and Agriculture at
Penn State. Awards will be made
and dancing will be held until mid
night. Joe Minarchek and his Or
chestra will supply the music for
the dance.

Council and their advisor satisfyingly view an
Hazleton Penn State Student Council outline of the local Center's program of
extra-curricular activities which was recognized as the best-organized and most complete setup in
Pennsylvania junior colleges. Recognition of the program was made at the annual Conference of Student
Government Associations of Pennsylvania Junior Colleges which was held recently at the York Center.

The College-Community Chorus, under the direction of Miss Pearl
G. Garbrick, presented Mozart's REQUIEM at 8:30 p. m. Tuesday,
May 13, to a large appreciative audience.
