TARGET DATE SET FOR STUDENT UNION BUILDING
Construction of the new student union
building here at HIGHACRES will begin
Saturday, Marsh 15, it ’’"as announced at
a meeting of the Hazleton Educational
Council, an advisory group to this campus*
Edward Keller, director of general
extension, and Stan Oambelit, in charge
of centers, attended the meeting to
discuss plans for the building*

o'hwck presented by the Women's Auxiliary
of the Center to the council recently*
Edmunds also gave a brief summary of
the meeting that he, Atby# Louis G»
Felduiann and Frank c« Kostos, administrative
head here, attended last weekend*
INSTRUCTORS JUDGE ESSAY CONTEST
A committee consisting of Prof* FranS C«
Kostos, Prof* Andrew Kafka, and Miss
Lillian Junus recently judged the entries
in the Tenth Annual Essay Contest for
high school students in the 11th and 12th
grades, on "How Hiring the Handicapped
Helps You and M e ," conducted by the
Tri-County Committee on the Employment
of the Handicapped in co-operation with
the Governor's and the President's
Committees*
