Tne building will be .about 100 feet Along
and 60 feet wide. It will be constructed
so that future expansion is possible.
The new structure will be located about
150 feet southwest of the main bu'lding.
Tn addition to recreation facilities and
a snack bar, it will house student publi
cations, student societies and clubs,. and
various other activities, which are now
cramped into small quarters hers and there
on the campus.
WELCOME TO LTLLTaN M. JUNAS
Miss Lillian M. Junas, a June graduate of
P.S.U., is the newest and youngest addit
ion to our faculty here at the Center*
She has been appointed as a part-time in
structor of English Composition 0. Miss
Junas is a well-known alumna of Penn State
Center, and. is remembered as a leader in
many of the student organizations.
She was born in Hazleton and graduated
from Hazleton High School in the class of
1953.
Tifhile a student of Journalism here, she
acted as chief editor of The Collegian,
president of the College Arts Society,
vice-president of the Parnassus Society,
and a member of the Community Chorus,
Student Council, Sorority, and Fencing
Club. At graduation, she was awarded the
Parnassus Cup and the coveted "most valu
able sophomore” award for her achievements.
During her junior and senior years at the
Campus, she was sports reporter for the
Daily Collegian,covering the activities of
the Women's Recreational Activities Club.

ests, Miss Junas said, "Everything,
especially people". Her main hobb
ies are photography, gardening, mu
sic (she played French horn in elem
entary school for seven years), and
driving her car.
In. the future, Miss Junas would like
to continue working with a small
town newspaper and perhaps do some

FENCING CLUB NWS
The Highacres Fencing Club, which is
run by the A.F.R.O,T.C. officers,
but is in no way affiliated with
that organization, is beginning its
annual membership drive. Those who
are interested in joining must sign
the paper that will be posted short
ly on the second floor bulletin board
