c h ThTslyear the Collegian staff under new faculty and student management hopes to provide a college paper that is informative, interesting and adult in its article s, Y~Quite frankly, this is npt the type of paper to which the students of this college have been accustomed during the past few years7?[The blame for this can be placed on no one person's shoulders - but on everyone's shoulders ,JJ Everyone decided to let his neighbor - who of course had a much easier schedule - publish the school paper. Because of the you-do-i-it-rl'm-rtoo-busy-attitude, an undersized staff working under pressure was forced to publish tho paper; the reporters and editors, in orcLr to fill the pages, sub stituted quantity fpr quality. This will not be dqne this yaar. If there is %o fee a regular Collegia?!, there W U! first he a regular workipg stbff of at least twelve reporters and several typists. By "regular working"'is meant reliable and efficient writers who always meet their deadline, phepk their fqcts, and write their articles clearly. A college paper written by this.typo of student keeps every* informed on the 1,001 extra curricular - and curricular - things that go on at Penn State, It contains little news items that are important for many students. hork done for the Collegian is rewarded by Parnassus which last year raised the maximum points anyone from editor to proof reader to typist to reporter can receive. The Collegian staff, as it now reorganizes itself, has mar?y opportunities for any student interested* -KLY Ne'iiSLiiiTTsß eD T IION The Pennsylvania State University Highacres Hazletop, Pennsylvania #■****# * If * * if if if if * Center September 26,
