May 20, 1955 Under a warm, bright sun In our garden on Saturday, the Sorority's May Day Coronation Ceremony was a huge success as a result of the public's, student's, faculty's and weather's cooperation. Surrounding the garden in oeautiful shades of purple, pink, yellow, and white, were rhododendrons, lilacs and wild roses. In the newly painted cafeteria, the P.S.served tea, coffee, cookies and obhe. refreshments to which practically all of the approximately 275 visitors took part. The remainder of the afternoon was spent touring the campus and talking to and meeting friends. About 40 couples attended the Queen's Lance at the Eagles in the evening., Student Council President, Stan Gruszewski, after speaking a few sincere words, re crowned our queen, who then with her date began to dance the queen's dance to wruca her attendants and their boys soon joined. Last week we published a short article asking for student cooperation on keeping Highacres beautiful by not picking the flowers. This week, we would like to take this sniflTl space to thank you for your cooperation on this matter. Many people commented on the beauty of Highacres last week, and we are sure that you too feel proud of these comments. Thanks to you for helping to make Highacres a spot of beauty and keeping it that way. This Collegian is the last edition of our Center's newspaper for this year. The staff wishes to thank you for your contributions and comments. We are sorry that more of you could not have part of our staff. Fe have received quite a few forms, but not all of them. If you are leaving, will you please get this information to us NOW. Also, if you have anything to offer to your yearbook, that is, anything that you remember as being interesting, or something that we'd all like to recall, then hand that to us, too. This if for you.
