February 18, 1955 ... the enemy pressed the attack with all the cunning that is taught to people of this sort from generation to generation. Our hero was slowly retreating to home ground. To relieve the pressure of this endless onslaught, our hero called for a truce and made a peace offering in the form of a gold band to the enemy. This, however, did not satisfy the enemy and the battle was resumed once more with such ferocity that our hero was forced to retreat not only to home ground, but to the court house. Here on that memorable day, another truce was signed and our hero made another offering to the enemy in the form of a second gold band. The results of this great battle were as follows: In St. Peter and Paul Church in Pofetsville, on January 29, 1955, Miss Virginia Hubay became a bride. According to the reports, the bride was dressed in a black costume suit trimmed with mink and wore with this, a pink hat and a corsage of pink orchids. The groom wore . Why is it that no one is ever interested in what the groom wore? After the ceremony and reception, the bride and groom spent their honeymoon touring New York City.
