‘Back Room’ Opens;
Fun-filled Atmosphere
“The Back Room” officially opened Tuesday providing a
new place for recreation. The new game room displays three
ping pong tables, six pool tables and a variety of pinball
machines in a fresh new contemporary setting.
Before its recent conversion into the “Back Room”, the
space was an unused access way with bare concrete and
cinder block walls. Kern and Weber Architects have created
a special multi-colored “Super Graphics” theme for this
reclaimed space with brightly painted walls. These walls
provide an atmosphere of fun and gaiety while keeping well
within the budget of the projects.
The “Super Graphics” scheme was sketched on the walls
by the architects and painted by Contractors Decorating
Service, the painting contractor. The layout and painting of
the walls was completed in three eight hour days. The con
tractor for the construction was United Atkinson, and
materials were supplied by Hamilton Lumber Company.
Plumbing and heating was taken care of by George Altof
Incorporated, and McNerny Electric installed electrical
fixtures.
