What Can Possibly
Follow Clarence?
Who in their right mind, would
care what a person’s middle
name is? Evidently the baseball
team does.
It all started one day in the
locker room when a group of
players were discussing their
coaches weird name. Now, you
must admit, Clarence H. Stoner
is a weird name.
Then “Dandy” Don Raydo
wondered, “Duh, I’d like to know
what weird Clarence’s middle
name is.”
So a group of us approached the
coach and asked him what his
middle name is. 'Die coach
turned into a little boy, “Aw gee,
guys, my first name is bad
enough, you don’t want to know
my middle name too. ”
Since them, we’ve asked and
begged him, but he just won’t tell
us. We know it begins with H. Is it

Herman, Henry, Hubert, Harold,

We just don’t know.
Last week, however, Rich
“Daffy” Schroeder, after locking
his keys in his car for the fifth
time, cornered the coach, “Hey
coach, if we contribute some
money to the baseball fund, will
you tell us your middle name?
Clarence turned a beet red,
“All right, Daffy, if you raise
enough money to buy a few bats,
I’ll tell you.”
So all week, Daffy Schroeder
has been collecting nickels and
dimes for the baseball team. Will
Clarence admit his middle
name? Find out in next week’s
column.
