Pool Regulations
Set By Onorato
The campus pool was . originally
built by - the Behrend family for
their own use. Now the pool is
open to more than 1,000. students,
but the filtering system has not
been• enlarged. Thus, the univer
sity must test the water evrY
week and take a bacteria count.
If the count gets too high, the
pool will have to be closed accord
ing to state regulations. There
fore, extra regulations have to be
set up and enforced to keep the
pool open.
Mr. Onarto, who is in charge
of the new pool regulations, asks
for the co-operation of all stu
dents so that the pool will re
main open.
The pool hours are Sunday
through Friday: 1:30 p. m.-5 p.m.
and 6:30• p. m.-8:30 p. m. Satur
day: 1:30 p. m.-5 p. m.
'The rules:
1. Cut-offs must not be worn
in the pool because the frayed
edges clog the filter.
2. No food, beverages, or cig
arettes are allowed in the pool
area.
3. The pool must not be used
as an over-sized bathtub. Do not
go in the pool after playing ball,
etc. when you are perspired.
4. Please don't throw clothed
people into the pool as the bac
teria count is greatly increased.
Strip them first.
