Jaime Brookett, a rising young
folk singer from Worcester 9 Mass. 9
will perform at the Villa Maria
College 9 tonight ? as a feature
of Spring Weekend. He has been
honored recently as the best male
performer 9 the best new perfamer 9
the second best instrumentalist 9
and one of the three best song
writers 9 -in fB sixth annual poll
results of the Boston Folk.
Jaime will entertain his all , -
dience in one night by performing
traditional and contemporary mu
sic 9 and if the spirit moves him
even ragtime and city blues sing
ing. He is a master of satirical
humor 9 and can as well play a six
and twelve-string guitar ? a five
string banjo, an autoharp, and a
dulcimer.
Brockett has appeared at
numerous uiversities and colleges
and major coffee houses in the
country. He will perform at the
Villa Maria College Auditorium on
Friday. May 2, 1969 9 from Bg3o to
1.13 C P. M., sponsored by the
Sophomore Class. Tickets will be
on sale at the door or at any of
the area colleges at $1.50 each
or $2.75 a couple.
