GO U'S'ERS WIN OPENER
This years golf team is going to be
better than ever, if that is possible. In
the qualifier for the six man team, Jay Holbus
was medalist with 119 for 27 holes. He was
followed by Dave Reski, Charles Johnson,
Rick Mose, Duane May, and Mike Rose.
Substitutes are John Huff, Bill Lockhart,
and Fritz Hetriclt. in an interview with
Coach Monahan, he said, "The team has better
depth than last year and aTain go
undefeated."
Last years golf team were Junior Colige
Champs. Returning lettermen are Rick Blose,
who was last years medalist in the State
tourney, and Dave Reski.
The first match of the season was "washed
out" after six holes because of rain. It
was against Cuyahoga Community College in
Parma, Ohio. Up to that time the Cubs were
winning.
The first complete match of the season
was a victory over Ashtabula-Kent State—
on April 26. The score was Behrend 121--
Ashtabula-Kent 51 Medalist was Duane May
with 80 strokes and 3 team points. He was
followed by Blose 3 pts., Rose 3, Holbus 1,
Johnson 1, and Huff 1?).

The Behrend Booster Club is planning
its first annual ALL-!7;ports Banquet. All
letter winners - receive heir awards that -
night, and two-year letter winners will re
ceive special recognition.

years and. He is presently doing public
