It is bound to change your opinion of winter, at least a little bit. As seen in the photos, winter carnival weekend consists of snow scluptures, ski-doo races, (sup ported by even our most dignified and unobviously atheletic sport enthusiasts.) On Friday night, the Circle K is sponsoring a Winter Carnival, semi-formal dance "Snowbound', The Ravins will be supplying the musical entertainment, and the cost of the affair per couple is $2.50. Each organization on campus is invited to sponsor a queen candidate -- names should be submitted to Jeff Stevenson or Carl Petroff by February 9. Saturday morning and afternoon's activities include tobboginning, judging of the snow scluptures, skiing on the 0.8. slope. Saturday evenings festivities begin with the tentatively scheduled Nittany Cub team versus the Faculty team in a basketball game preceeding the regulary scheduled game, Behrend vs. McKeesport Campus. Following the game the Nittany Cub is sponsoring a coffee-house type party including live folk entertainment for your listening enjoyment. By the 17th our midterms will be behind us. What better time to forget your studies, put away your blue books and live a little... The good life is at your finger tips... take advantage, my freinds!!!!! Scenes
