Would you like to participate in col
legiate athletics? Do you think you are
tough? Are you a man in your own eyes?
If you answered yes to any of the pre.
ceding, here is your chance. Come out for
the Behrend wrestling team. This is your
chance to show' your girl what kind of man
you really are, or to prove it to yourself.
Wrestling is one sport where size is insig
nificant. It is a sport for all sizes be
cause your opponent is the same size as you
are.
Strength is not the only decisive
,factor in winning a match. Speed and
agil
ity are very important. But probably the
most important factor iebraine: "Brains"
are necessary to react correctly in each
new situation. A moderatly strong wrestler
with "brains" can make a strong, "brain
•
deficient" opponent look awful.
Wrestling is both a team, and an in
dividual sport. You can have the honor of
being a member of a winning team, and still
be a loser in your weight class. Then on
the other hand, you can become a state, or
even a national champ even though your team
never won a match. When you get out there
on the mat, there is no one to back you up,
If you goof, there is no one to push the
blame on. If you win, you get all the
glory that comes with it because everything
is up to xsu .
If you would like to wrestle this yeas
particularly you big strong men, contact
our very fine wrestling coach, Mr. Onorato.
You can still come out even if you have had
no previous wrestling experience.
At an organizational meeting held
November 8, tentative plans were announ
ced for a Sports Car Club on campus. It
is intended to be a social club for those
interested in sports cars, and to promote
safe competitive racing.
Plans were discussed for a trace,
(a short race), to be held November 26.
This trace and any future traces will be
open to anyone interested. A Gymkhana,
which is an obstacle race for time, and
numerous sports car rallies are also being
planned. Definite plans for all future
events will be posted as they are deter
mined.
Anyone who is interested in further
information should contact the advisors,
Mr. Hendrix or Mr. Finley.

uation intra -squad competition is very keen.
In the first intra -squad scrimmage
Howie McGregor, last year's only returning
letterman, suffered a broken nose which side
lined him for twn days. Although he must ',Tea
a facemask to protect hiS healing nose, Hdwl
is now back in full action.
The biggest man on the team, Don Fry, ha
been has been sidelined indefinitely with a
foot injury. Don was expected to be a big he
with the rebound chores, and his loss will b
hard felt.
Since the years team will be reletively
"small; what they lack in height will be hav
to made up in speed. A fast-breaking quick
shooting offense combined with a tight defen
should prove to be the key to another suc
