Gala Weekend Begins
CARNIVAL AND CONCERT BEID IN CONJUNCTION WITH HONECONING DANCE

Bring your Pennies! Bring your
friends: Come to the Homecoming Week
end Carnival! Slated for 5:30 p.m., on
Friday the 13th,(ahem) the affair promises
to be a riotous conglomoration of swindle,
marksmanship, lendleasing, vulgarity, and
some plain 'a fun. Tents of suspense,
mystery, trap-doors, gangsters and the
like are being sponsored by the different
organizations on campus for the purpose
of raising money and adding excitement
to the Homecoming Weekend. Among the
fun and frolic are kissing booths, jails,
car racing, egg throwing, fortune telling,
food, drink (dry), and many other ingred
ients for a romping time. At 8:00 p.m.,
a jazz concert by Bob Byrd and his group
will get underway to add to the extravaganza.

That's Friday. Saturday the booths open
at noon, and our illustrious soccer team
plays Buffalo State a 2:00p.m. That even
ing is the Harvest Ball sponsored by Circle
K. The music will be supplied by the VIPs
and the Ravens. The event is semi -formal,
and the highlight of the evening will be
the crowning of the Homecoming Queen. I'm
sure it will be well worth attending. The
booths will again open on Sunday afternoon,
and tentatively at 3:00 p.m. we are priv
ileged to have Stan Sheppard at the cam
pus for a Jamaican folk concert. So
make the scene all three days kids. It
will be well worth your pennies. Let's
see the school spirit you all talk so
much about having...
