The Harold Betters Concert slated
for Sunday, Oct. 8, 1967 at 4:00 p.m..
Promises to be a terrific show. Mr.
Betters is popular in the tri-state
area and on the West Coast. He is
considered to be one of the best trom
boni.sts in the U.S. His music is hard
and driving which is equally enjoyable
when applied to traditional jazz or
adaptations of pop. Betters has played
for several years at the Encore Club in
Pittsburgh and at the Steelers home games.
He was chosen as the trombonist for the
"Playboy Jazz Poll," and has made sev
eral appearances at Pricillas Charcoal
Pit with the accompaniment of Mary
Alice Brown.(She is considered to be
the best female vocalist in the area.)
