Whereas one or two teachers prefer to show off their extremely putrid tastes in individuality, especially in dress. one may wonder upon seeing them whether they are teachers or students. And if they are teachers, what in the world are they trying to prove? Their "coolness?" eit+~.f-ti~#~c~4H~ The event that so many have I , een looking forward to is at hand at last. Tryouts for the Spring production of the Rehrend Players will he held this N•reek. They will take place Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, March 7 and 8 from 7:on to 9:00 p.m. in Room 101. It is important to note that one does not have to be a member of the Players in order to work on the Play. sThis is due to the fact that Theatre ;,,Arts 47 is being offered in the Spring :Ttrm. This is a one credit course for which there are no set class hours; it involves only work on the play. For this, participants receive a grade of A, R, or C. All who are interested are there fore urged to come to try-outs. There are fourteen roles availaille in the play, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Pmell of the Crowd--- 1 - 7 Anthony Newtey and Leslie Bucusse. The production viii under the direction of Mr. M. Ellis Grove. Students are also needed for the posts of assistant director, stage manager, musical director, set design, and construction, light ing, properties, make-up, and pub licity. Mr. Grove is also interested in having a drummer and a string bass player. Those interested in these posi tions may sign up at try-outs. All, including members of the Players will have to be - et try-outs in order to obtain a pert. They should war clothes suitable for movement and be prepared to sing and dance. Individuals may bring their own sheet music if they so desire. But other sheet music will be provided Mr. Grove is also interested in making this the ?lest production Beh rend has ever done. It is imperative that all who are interested attend tryouts. The results will he posted Thursday morning. The first rehearsal will be Thursday evening. S.G.A. NEEDS FUNDS Everyone needs money, especially the S.G.A. But here the problem is crippling, because of student govern ment is broke, other clubs come screeching to a halt (a notable possibility being the Cub.)
