Vol. VIII No. 11 WINTER CARNIVAL SET Taking advantage of winter recreation, S.G.A., Circle K., and Psi Sigma Upsilon are presently in the midst of making plans for Slebrend's Winter Carnival Weekend. Scheduled to take place on the tenth, eleventh, and twelvth of February, these three days are expected to offer a bigger and better variety of activities to the student body. leading off the weekend, a tobog gan party has tentatively been planned depending on the weather, for Friday evening on the hill behind the. 0.8. building. As an added attraction, the Carriage House will provide shelter from the cole along with hot chocolate and refreshments served by members of the PSU Sorority. Saturday will be a day of ice figures and snow queens. A contest open to all campus organizations, clubs, and students will judge the ability of each group's creativity in making snow characters. These maybe built any time prior to or during winter week end and the winner will be awarded a $lO.OO prize Saturday afternoon. To climax the day, Circle K is sponsoring a semi-formal dance Saturday night, highlighted by the crowning of a winter carnival queen. And there's more to come on Sunday. As a grand finale, Psi Sigma Upsilon is planning an ice skating party to be held at the Erie Glenwood Ice Rink. It has not been decided, however, whether to sponsor the event Sunday after noon or Sunday night; opinions would be appreciated by members of the three clubs involved.
