9:15 and 9:30A.M. that morning.
Members of Circle Kw-ill get you
there. Some eighty-four students
here signed up already; hope you're
one of them, because the event
promises to be the liveliest and most
exciting one yet to hit Elahrend.
Also coming up in the near future
on Circle K's agenda is Winter
Carnival Weekend, February 10-12.
It:11 be a weekend of ice-skating,
tobogganing, skiing, snowball rolling,
and just plain fun for all. The
highlight of the jovial affair will be
the crowning of the Winter C-rnival
Queen at the dance, which is
semi-formal. More information later
as the snowball gets bigger:

PLAYHOUSE PRODUCES GYPSY
The Erie Playhouse will pre
sent its first performance of the
new year with the musical Toy'duc
tion of the Broadway hit, "Gypsy,"
scheduled for a six performs.nce
run beginning February 9th,
This play is a portrayal of the rise
to fame of Gypsy Rose Lee, the noted
ecdysiast (striptease performer).
The title role of "Gypsy" is played
by Claudia White, an experienced Strong
Vincent High School senior. In the mus
ical, Claudia enacts Gypsy's emergence
from adolescence to maturity and stardom,
achieving success through her wit and
ladylike approach to the art of striptease
Shirley Levin stars as the ambitious,
driving mother who struggles to push
Gypsy from the obscurity of tank-town
vaudeville to minsky burlesque, and fin
ally on to the heights - of international
success.
Advance sale of tickets for the
performance has already begun with seats
priced at $3.5 0 each.
Skeptics Corner: Anti-Poverty
Charles Peters, Executive Director
of the Greater Erie Anti-Poverty Action
Committee, is coming to Skeptics Corner
on Thursday at 11:00. Mr. Peters has a
B.S. Degree in Education and has done
graduate work in nsychology, special
education and rehabilitation.
Previous to taking his job on the
Anti-Poverty Committee early in 1965,
Mr, Peters has had experience with men
tally retarded children, culturally
deprived teenagers, pre-school children,
and parental counseling.
Skeptics Corner will meet as usual
in the Carriage House.
