Behrend's major cultural activi—

the first of a series of eight fo—
reign films was shown in Erie Hall,
LORD OF THE FLIES, a British zro
ducer's adaptation of Golding's
novel, traced the defects of soci—
ety back to the defects of human na—
voiding maintained that "The
shape of society must depend on the
ethical nature of the individual

and not .on any political system."

through the character study of an
