KINGSMEN AND CASTAWAYS
SING AT EDINBORO
Last Sunday night Edinboro College
presented a "Cavalcade of Stars" at
Our Lady of the Lake Hall, with WJET
disk jockey, Randy Michaels as emcee.
The Castaways and the Kingsmen,
both popular singing groups, performed
at 6:oo and 8:00.
The Castaways began the show by
double-dealing the Kingsmen and sing
ing all their hits.
"Bey," interrupted one of the
Kingsmen, "why don't you sing 'Louie,
Louie'? You might as well, you've
stolen all the rest of our stuff."
A greasy, curly-headed Castaway
countered,
"7ell you can sing our hit 'Liar,
Liar, Your Pants Are on Fire'."
"Who'd want to?" sneered the Kings-
men.
The Kingsmen began to entertain,
and featured an intoxicated drummer.
Fans almost lost the happy drummer as
he began dancing on the rim of a
basketball net, nearly falling twice.
The audience had almost as good a
time as the singers. The crowd wound
up the evening with dancing.
