It is under the direction of Dean Benjamin Lane. Antigone, by Jean Anouilh, is a modern adaptation of iSophocles' famed Theban tragedy. This ancient Greek drama of love, strife, pain, and passion will be presented in a universally digestible manner with modern cos tumes and dialogue, while retaining its original classic grandeur. The Behrend Players will at tempt to enhance the dramatic qualities of this presentation with the use of the circular "island" stage, in which the audience com pletely surrounds the performers.
