Personality Parade This issue’s pert personality is taking advantage of Erie’s spring weather which, of course, is char acterized by plenty of snow. She can be found between classes in the Behrend library where she studiously does her homework. Our personality generally has a great deal of homework to do because she is enrolled in a chemistry cur riculum. Her appetite for scholar ship is certainly indicated by the fact that she graduated valedicto rian of her class at Lawrence Park High School. Also, this issue’s per sonality’s name can be found on the honor role for the first semes ter. Although she is kept busy with studies and campus activities, she still finds ample time to talk with several male Behrendites such as Bob Johnson or Don Kelly. Our personality is a member of the Literary Club and has been very active in both Behrend dra matics and her dramatic club in high school. You readers saw our personality portray a heartless newspaper editor in the Christmas play, “A By-line for St. Luke”. In addition, she has been cast as Mrs. Garnet in “Out of the Frying Pan,” the spring play. New students at Behrend know this girl almost immediately, be cause of her famous father. Besides her last name, other dis tinctive features are blonde but not dumb; blue eyes, likes to sew, read and travel; and has a ready smile and hello. (Ans. on Page 4) “Jack makes me tired.” “It’s your own fault. You should stop running after him.” SPORTSCOPE By Dave Weekley On Wednesday evening, March 23, the championship of the intra mural basketball' league was de cided in a play-off game between Staub’s Stumpers and Guriel’s Gangsters. In a hotly contested battle, Ken Staub led his team to a decisive victory, winning 68 to 53. Staub was the game’s high scorer with 23 points while Coach Good win contributed 21 to the losing cause. Butch Lichtenberger also played a fine game, ball-hawking on defense while chipping in 17 points for the winners. However, it was a team win, and both teams turned in fine efforts. Coach Goodwin has announced the beginning of baseball on a var sity basis for the coming spring with practice scheduled to begin on April 4. This is the chance that all of you dubbers have been wait ing for; break out the clubs, shar pen up the putting eyes, and come to the aid of your school. • In passing all the sounds of mat-pounding, grunting, and groaning that have been coming from the gym lately can only mean one thing: Coach Goodwin has be gun his wrestling program.
