Edwards Makes Smashing Visit By Mike Eccles Bob “Egor” Edwards has a habit of doing the fantastic, and Thurs- day, January 22, was no exception. On that night, cold sober, as he started to enter an establishment dealing in bottled spirits, he trip ped, his body hurling through a thick plate glass window. A spine- tingling crash found Bob’s upper half lying in the store, his posteri- or protruding outside. His arm came up to protect his neck as large, jagged spears of glass rain ed all about him. Though it seem- ed like hours before the final piece dropped, the entire episode actual ly took place in about five seconds. The dumbfounded clerk timidly inspected Egor, expecting to see a body more dead than alive. The heavy winter coat he was wearing had large gashes where the heavy knife-like staves of glass had cut it clean as a saber. I rushed through the window to Bob’s side, advising him not to sign anything till he saw his law yer, but he courageously struggled to his feet, mounds of glass sur rounding him. Casually he told the horrified clerk, “I just drop ped in to see if. John Rizzo was here.” Mardi Gras Carnival (Continued from Page 1) was enclosed by a while picket fence and lit by Japanese lan terns, which enhanced the holiday atmosphere. The advisors and the various Mardi Gras committees are to be congratulated for a very suc cessful and entertaining evening. Forty's Cleaners TUXEDOS FOR RENT 2914 Buffalo Rd. WESLEYVILLE, PA.
